About the Founder Dr. Osman Dufailu

Dr. Dufailu is a Lecturer/Scientist and an executive director/Founder of HERPol-Africa, an NGO that touches on health, education, research and policy. Dr Dufailu has been recognized as Inspirational for his volunteering services and community development both at University of Nottingham and 40under40 awards in Ghana. He has several years’ experience of Teaching, Research, Leadership, Volunteering, Mentoring and Youth Empowerment.

Dr. Dufailu obtained BSc. Applied Biology (First Class), Majoring in Medical and Environmental Microbiology at UDS, and completed Management of Drug Supply with distinction from Medway School of Pharmacy, University of Greenwich and Kent. He was privileged to be awarded PhD in Life Sciences by University of Nottingham at age 29
He is a Bill & Melinda Gate Scholar and has presented his research work at international stages including Harvard Medical School, Kings College London and Oxford University.
Motivated to return to Ghana in 2018 to lecture at University for Development Studies. By giving back to society through training and shaping the next generation of African scientist and leaders. He believes in giving back and wants to see the world that cherish humanity over vanity. A world where every individual has access to quality education and comprehensive health care. Dr Dufailu often says “Of what importance is our knowledge if it does not benefit the society”
He is passionate about Science, community development, Leadership and Youth empowerment.
